Diana Speaks With Animals (Deferred Performance)

Georgia Sagri presents Diana Speaks With Animals, a sequel to Diana Very Dog (DVD), CENTRAL FINE’s inaugural project. Diana Speaks With Animals, a performance project initiated in Athens, is to be installed and broadcasted in Miami Beach. The project consists of a series of photos showing Sagri running in Athens at 5:45 AM, occupying streets, houses, as a nymph, or a Rimbaudian look-alike, on the loose. The works are framed as books, narrating chapters, scenes, and a video: dog, shows Sagri working on her desktop, editing the sound, the visuals and the performance in real-time. Discourse is replaced by speech, or lalangue, as Sagri intervenes the Lacanian concept through a series of abstractions in sound, where her voice becomes pure rhythm, punctuations and beats, abstracting language and aiming for sound.
